A series of projects focused on the behaviour and approach of neighbouring Asian states towards China’s economic, technological, and military growth, as well as the implications for the US and Europe.

One sub-project focused on changes in Indian security policy in light of geopolitical changes in South Asia. Another sub-project examined South Korea’s security policy relations with Japan, and the consequences of their relationship for the broader security landscape in North-East Asia and American interests in the region. Several other sub-projects have analysed how China’s growth affects the US, Europe, and transatlantic relations.
